Program Description is taken from The First Step Act Approved Program Guide, 1/2022 | Cognitive Processing Therapy is an evidence-based intervention for the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. In a 12-session format, this intervention combines cognitive techniques with written exposure therapy to address negative effects, intrusive images, dysfunctional thoughts, and avoidance behavior.
