| Program Description is taken from The First Step Act Approved Program Guide, 1/2022 | This treatment was developed for individuals who are at risk of suicide. The initial focus is crisis intervention such as the development of a safety plan. The protocol also focuses on the development of cognitive strategies to help modify negative thoughts that can lead to self-directed violent behaviors. This treatment can be offered individually or in a group setting. |
