| Program Description is taken from The First Step Act Approved Program Guide, 1/2022 | Hooked on Phonics is a program that aids in combating Dyslexia as well as low-level readers. Research has shown that combining phonics instruction and reading is the best way to develop a good reader. Reading that includes a high percentage of familiar patterns gives the student the opportunity to read for meaning.
Hooked on Phonics includes books and stories woven into the program at the appropriate readability level to provide opportunities for someone to read for meaning and enjoyment. |
